The Board of Governors is the governing body of City of London College and is responsible for the strategic oversight, financial sustainability, academic assurance and long-term development of the institution.

During 2025–2026, the Board was refreshed and expanded to strengthen the breadth of expertise, independence and sector experience available to the College. The current composition reflects the College’s commitment to maintaining effective governance arrangements capable of supporting academic quality, student success, financial sustainability, risk management and regulatory compliance.

The Board brings together expertise from higher education leadership, public policy, governance, quality assurance, finance, taxation, digital innovation and organisational development. Collectively, governors provide independent scrutiny, strategic guidance and constructive challenge to support the College in achieving its mission and objectives.

The Board reviews its composition periodically to ensure that the collective skills, experience and independence of governors remain aligned with the evolving needs of the College and the interests of its students and stakeholders.

The Board recognises its responsibility to act in the interests of current and prospective students and to ensure that decisions are taken with due regard to academic quality, student outcomes, financial sustainability and the long-term interests of the institution.
