Introduction to Board of Governors
The Board of Governors is the governing body of City of London College and has ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction, educational character, financial sustainability and overall governance of the College. Acting collectively, the Board ensures that the College fulfils its mission, protects the interests of current and prospective students, and delivers high-quality higher education in accordance with its legal, regulatory and public responsibilities.
The Board provides strategic leadership while maintaining clear oversight of institutional performance, academic assurance, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance and organisational risk. It establishes the College’s strategic priorities, approves key institutional policies and receives regular assurance that delegated responsibilities are being discharged effectively across academic and corporate governance.

Its work is supported by specialist committees, the Academic Board and the Executive and Operational Leadership Team, ensuring that strategic decisions are informed by appropriate scrutiny, professional expertise and reliable management information.
