Purpose of the Framework 

The Externality and Independent Assurance Framework provide a structured approach to incorporating independent challenge and external expertise into the governance of the College. 

The Framework is designed to: 

• strengthen strategic governance and institutional oversight;  

• safeguard academic quality and academic standards;  

• promote objective and evidence-informed decision-making;  

• support regulatory compliance and public accountability;  

• encourage constructive challenge and independent scrutiny;  

• strengthen institutional resilience and risk management;

The Externality and Independent Assurance Framework integrate a range of complementary sources of independent assurance.
